A Kaera's Best Friend

I blame Slayer4949 for this adorable pairing.

Really...

Me: "I need to make a Croco, they're too adorable."
Slayer: "You should make one and give it to Dax.It can fetch him supplies and tools!"
Me: -makes this- "He's happy...what have I done? WHAT DID YOU MAKE ME DO!?"

So...yah, Dax has a tiny little baby Croco now. Why? Because Omni thought he needed a friend while living in Misplace and since Dax refuses to get close to people after being shunned for most of his life, Omni figured a pet was the next best thing.

Dax usually plays it off as not really caring one way or the other, but really, he loves his little Croco pup, and he even named her Jade after his favorite gems for her jade color. When it's just him and Jade, Dax may as well be a whole other personality, and it's suffice to say that he's just plain happy. Jade can always make him smile, no matter what.

FF: Being a baby, Jade is very tiny. Very tiny. Where as a full grown Croco averages at 1 foot in height AT THE SHOULDERS, Jade is only a few inches, and it really doesn't help that, just like Dax, she too is a runt. Also like her daddy, as she sees Dax to be, Jade is colorblind; often Dax will ask her to bring him wires and other things by their shade rather than their color, as that's how he sees them himself.
